Tip: Free 24-hour test number
After activation, you can activate a test number once free of charge for 24 hours to test your SIP end device - without having to buy or port a number.
Important to know: Your own phone number is optional
The DUStel starter tariff also works completely without your own phone number. You can start making calls immediately - your calls will then go out anonymously, i.e. the person you call will not see your number. You only pay the normal call charges, nothing else.
You only need your own telephone number if you:
- want to be called (so that other people can reach you)
- you want to transfer your own number when you call, or e.g. because you have a number with another provider and want to transfer it
- want to receive fax messages (e.g. for business customers)
Numbers can be ordered or ported at any time in the customer center - you do not have to decide immediately.
